LCSW

Welcoming New Clients (Ages 15+)

Hello, I’m glad you stopped by! I’m Kamarra, and I’ve been practicing in a variety of mental health settings with adults, teenagers, and families for 10 years. I have experience working in schools, university counseling centers, inpatient psychiatric care, and outpatient offices. My therapeutic style is empathetic, supportive, and encouraging. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques as I believe in meeting my clients where they are while taking into consideration each person’s unique experiences. My approach draws from several practices that tailor treatment toward one’s strengths and needs including cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavior (DBT), mindfulness, solution-focused, interpersonal therapy, and motivational interviewing. I specialize in disordered eating and body image issues, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, life transitions, identity exploration, stress management, trauma, and relationship issues. I love to see the holistic view of every person to embrace change and overcome life’s challenges.

In my personal life, I enjoy being outside, taking long walks with my dog, spending time with my friends and family, and traveling.
