Here at Northside Mental Health, we have many providers who specialize in eating disorders and disordered eating recovery. We offer individual and family therapy to women and men, as well as adolescents and children. Our therapists have expertise and significant experience in the treatment of bulimia, anorexia, binge eating disorder, and other patterns of disordered eating. Our providers believe that the best treatment approach for addressing eating concerns is team oriented. We have a registered dietician here on staff as well as a marriage and family therapist. We work with other providers, such as psychiatrists and primary care doctors in the community to round out the team, if necessary. Additionally, Northside offers other recovery-oriented services in addition to traditional therapy to boost support in the process of recovery. Group therapy, dietician facilitated restaurant outings, recovery coach services, and peer led support groups are just some of the additional services offered here. Ask your provider or check out our calendar of events to learn more and see when these other services are offered.

Northside Mental Health has several therapists specializing in the treatment of addictions including but not limited to alcohol and substance abuse, gambling, sex addition, and compulsive shopping. Our providers have significant experience in this area with training in both outpatient and inpatient treatment settings. Many of our providers are also Licensed Chemical Addictions Counselors in addition to their general clinical credentials. We work with men and women as well as adolescents. Our providers also work collaboratively with other members of a client’s recovery team.

Couple and Family counseling is available at Northside. We have experienced clinicians who work with anyone struggling to improve their relationships – married, non-married, premarital and LGBT. We also have providers here with experience helping couples work though infidelity or divorce. Contact Northside for even more details about how we can provide support for your specific, individual concerns.

Several workshops are offered throughout the year. Examples of workshop topics including premarital work, continuing marital work, mindfulness for kids, and positive body image work. Check in with the website’s calendar of events to see what’s being offered next.

Therapy in a group setting can be a great way to supplement and boost the work someone is doing with his or her individual therapist. It can also be a great way to step into therapy if one is not so sure about the process. We offer a handful of groups with different issues of focus. Check out our Calendar page to see more information about our current group offerings.
