Welcoming New Clients for Daytime Sessions (Individuals, Couples, & Families; Ages 13+)
Hi there! I’m Amanda. I enjoy working with couples, individuals, and families. I want to hear your story. What makes you YOU? Whether you attend a session solo, with a partner, or another family member, I find it valuable to take a look at your family history and environment, as I feel this shapes who you are and how you relate to others. My goal is to assist in growing self-awareness and self-esteem so that we may heal and strengthen the relationships with those around us.
Before becoming a therapist, I had the unique opportunity of being able to live in Costa Rica, volunteer at a children’s home, and practice my Spanish. After graduate school, I was able to get further experience in working with teens within a school setting as a therapist. Now, I’m able to incorporate these experiences into my job here at Northside working with clients (13+).
I use a lot of motivational interviewing, attachment theory, emotion-focused techniques, Gottman techniques, and structural therapy when doing family work.
In my free time, I enjoy going on adventures with my German Shepherd, Dodger. I also love traveling and having new experiences. I’d love to hear about the cool places you’ve traveled!
