Support for Every Part of the Journey of Parenthood

The journey through pregnancy, new parenthood, fertility struggles, or loss can bring emotions that are difficult to make sense of and that don’t always match what you expected to feel. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, identity shifts, or simply feeling unlike yourself, those experiences are valid and worth addressing.

You don’t have to push through alone. We’re here to help.

What can I expect from therapy?

  • Feel more in control of your emotions and less overwhelmed by the highs and lows of pregnancy or the postpartum period.
  • Process grief, loss, or disappointment following pregnancy loss, fertility struggles, or parenthood just being different than you expected.
  • Find clarity around shifts in your identity and sense of self that often come with major life transitions.
  • Rebuild self-worth and confidence, whether you’re trying to conceive, adjusting to parenthood, or moving through loss.
  • Develop tools for managing stress and anxiety so you can feel more grounded and present in your daily life.

How do you approach treatment?

Perinatal mental health therapy at Northside is rooted in talk therapy, providing a space where you can slow down, be heard, and begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing. Much of our work centers on helping you reconnect with yourself during a season of life that often asks you to put everyone else first. Together with your therapist, you’ll explore what balance looks like for you right now, identify what you need to feel supported, and develop a clearer sense of who you are beyond your role as a parent or caregiver.
